Managing Plugins

Commands for installing, listing, updating, and removing plugins in the avm ecosystem.

avm plugin add <name>

Downloads precompiled binary from marketplace registry and registers ToolProvider.

$ avm plugin add node

avm plugin list

Lists installed plugins in ~/.avm/plugins with their versions and manifests.

$ avm plugin list

avm plugin update <name>

Checks upstream GitHub releases for the latest plugin binary and updates it.

$ avm plugin update java

avm plugin remove <name>

Removes the installed plugin; managed runtime versions are separate.

$ avm plugin remove ruby
